My hubby and I talked about what kinds of things we would like to do together now that our youngest is quickly approaching 12. We figured that we both like to exercise, so we have decided to start running 5ks. He runs a lot faster than me. Training together is hard because I know I slow him down, but I am grateful that every once in a while, he will skip the workout he really wants to do to run with me. I ran my first 5k in January. I was just over 36 minutes for time. I practiced the 5k run that we will do in Eatonville on the official date in April. I ran that in just a little over 34 minutes. Yeah! I am not after perfection, just progress.
